Project Winnie’s sewing school EYMCBO

We present: Winnie

One of our first sponsored children is Winnie Nansubuga, she is now 27 years old. Her parents died when she was 13 years old and her brothers could not take care of her. So she had to live with her uncle, who tried to rape her and Winnie had no other option than to run away and live on the streets.

She was very lucky to be found in 2010 by the nun Sister Norah and to be accepted into the street children project of U.V.C.O. She was able to finish school and after a professional training in accounting, she now works as a school secretary at a private school.

Winnie wants to pass on the help and support she has experienced to others and has founded a sewing project for young mothers. They learn sewing and get a basic knowledge to be able to contribute to the livelihood of their families.

We would like to send the children of these young mothers to school as well, to give them a better future too! We would be very happy about sponsors for these children!
